Great socks for diabetics/those with swollen feet

Im a diabetic and love these things. Since my feet get swollen I need something that wont cut off circulation in my ankles. I finally found one that works. If you have this problem then check these out. Figured I would share the wealth!

Sorry Jack, no links to commercial sites, but your heart was in the right place. I did a google search for diabetic socks and got over 633,000 hits so most anyone will be able to find them.

I have got diabetic socks.  Both are Type 2, non-insulin dependent.

Ahem, errr, they've recently released a great new sock in to the mainsteam here in Australia.  I bought up big on them when they were on special.  They are recommended by Diabetes Australia and man, are they comfortable!  The good thing is they are readily available, and they aren't just business or sports socks.  They are available in many colours and thicknesses!  Hmmmm, cushioned foot!

I found these socks at a store in Illinois xxxxxxxxx. They are far the most comfortable sock I own. It stretches about 9' so it wont leave marks on my legs.    

Stretches to 9 feet?  Wow. 

Sorry yet again.  No advertising.  nono   Check the Forum rules.  And as everyone says, they're found everywhere now.

Is it considered advertising if the poster is just recommending a place to buy an item- not selling them? It seems I've seen recommendations before for certain types of shoes etc. I have found them helpful. I have wasted countless dollars on socks that wind up killing my feet- and I'd be intrested in finding good ones...just wondering.

Hi Sandy, it's probably hard to say if the person has an 'interest' in the commercial/advertising site.  A person cannot advertise if he benefits from sales or works for the business.  He listed a web address after saying it was in Illinois.  I guess I was following Jeannie's lead as in the first post, too.  The reason I thought it was suspect was that it was his first post only for the reason of writing the website address about socks.  If he had been a usual participant in the forum and wanted to recommend where to get the socks, it would have been fine.  I was just using my judgement there.   So, Mike, if you're still around and have no strings attached to the website selling socks,  please post again.

Hi Granny, that's a very good price for special socks like that.  And now we know where we can get them!  Thanks!  (And we know you're not hawking them.)  :)  Years ago I bought compression socks for airplane travel when so much was written in the press about DVT.  I don't know if there's a difference between the two kinds of socks.  I bought mine through the National Geographic catalog for $15.  They do work well though.

Wall Mart also carries an inexpensive diabetic sock called MedPeds that my mom and I really like. I think they run about $4. But not much of a variety of colors...black and white. But there are several styles.
