questions about leg pains and neuropathy and meds for it

Hi Lynn, I have alot of neuropathy, and am on neurontin also, I have found that it takes a much higher dose of it to really help any, I am prescribed 2400mg a day, and I usually end up taking from 4800 to 5600 to get it to help. I would try taking some more once and see if it helps, ( of course I am only suggesting it, docs dont like that sort of thing, lol) and if it still doesnt it prolly isnt nerve related. Just my 2 cents worth, hope you feel better soon.  Mark

Linda, maybe Kris is right about the shin splint.  Have you been doing running, jogging or power walking lately?

I also have pain in just both lower legs and feet. My doc said it is from the high blood sugars and a A1c of 15.2. It is getting better as I work on getting the two of those down. I also wake up with lower leg cramps that are really painful. I have vicodin and flexeril to help. Your doctor felt your leg was warm? That has to be a warning sign of something, I think. In the hospital they really checked my legs out for blood clots because of the pain. Be sure to show the doctor where your leg is warm. Good luck and take care:)
