gout and steroid treatment causing high blood sugar?

I need some fast advice.  Iam a type ii diabetic of many years.Thenight before last I woke up and could not walk from sever pain in the legs.  I do have neuropathy but this was different and more severe.  My wife got to me to the emergency hospital and they found it was gout.  Hips knees and ankles.  gave me a shot of steroid and put me on prednisone p.  I already wear a Tentynyl patch.  Today a lot of the poin is gone, but as expected my blood sugar has  gone to hennenback.  Before breadfast it was 359 and I had oatmeal for breakfast I took 26 units of humolog and it is two hours after 476.  I  have never been so high.  I am feeling ok, but where do I go from here .  I took another 12 units of humolog.

Any ideas eithr for confort or treatment.  I am a little frightened

I am also type 2 on predenisone. I cannot eat any carbs or grains or my bg level soars. The oatmeal is a very big no-no! Eat eggs or eggbeaters for breakfast Stay away from bread too. Try the nothing white but caulifower eating plan. It really works for me. My bg levels are 80 to never over 100 and I have lost 80 pounds too. Check past posts. Also I take 28 units of lantus at night and wake up at around 80 every morning. I will be back on tomorrow if you have more questions:)
