Hi Boardies,
I combed the airline websites and if this information is listed it's buried under six layers of 404's.
So I'm guessing you folks will know the answer to my question. I use syringes for injectable Methotrexate for newly diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis.
What can I expect at the airline security gate? How do you folks transport a medication that has to be cool? What other advice can your offer.
This trip takes me over a Friday which is injection day.
All advice appreciated!

RG,
Your syringes, meds, alcohol swabs, cotton balls, and other "stuff" should be all in a small case, like a camera case and in your carryon luggage. Also you should have a note from your doctor's office explaining that you are on an injectable medication (that must be kept cold) in the little case. Call the office and have them send you one on their office stationary.
Airline personnel see this all the time and as long as you are up front about it you should be ok.
You can find small cases for cheap at thrift stores. Put the case in a ziplock bag then put that bag in another one with a cold pack in it. ALWAYS TELL THE PERSONNEL BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR BAG THROUGH!
