mip, as Jeannie says, grapes (and nearly all fruit) will raise your blood sugar even in a "normal" person, though not as much as in a diabetic. In any case, your fasting and A1c are great. You say you're concerned about
the 2-hour postprandial (after eating). What is a typical dinner for you? What are you eating? If those readings are after a meal with pasta and bread, then maybe that's why you're getting around 160. It's like you're giving yourself a glucose tolerance test! Potatoes, corn, pasta, rice and bread for dinner are all high in carbs and will cause the blood sugar to rise. How much it rises depends on several factors: amount of it you eat, amount of protein and fat in the meal, your personal metabolism of carbs. Your 85 before bed is also perfect, so don't mess with that. I would not eat a snack before bed as that will change your morning fasting number. I don't know what answer you'll come back with about
what you eat for a typical dinner, but if you change your dinner choices and eliminate or cut down on those carb-laden foods, you may see a difference in the post-prandial. Let us know how that works out, ok?
