What time of day/meal are you testing after?
The reason I ask is when I was first diagnosed, I went nuts on the testing. I took readings before/after every meal for about a month and entered all the data into the software program that came with my meter. What this showed me was that in my case, my BGL's were steadily highest in the morning and sloped off to almost normal towards night. Knowing this, I modified my eating habits accordingly and now only randomly test to make sure I'm on the right track.
Again, this is my case and probably you will be different but knowing your personal pattern always helps.
Congrats on the weight loss Isn't it amazing how easy it is?
Oh, a word of warning from someone who knows -- exercise! I thought all I had to do was lose weight but now I'm left with some flabby areas. I'm working on this but not as hard as I should be. Oh yes, sock away some money for new, smaller clothes too
