I understand (from reading your other post) that you'll be seeing an Endo today/tomorrow.
That's great! It's who's hands you should be in, especially with some of the other issues you previously listed (i.e. thyroid). He's the hormone/endocrine and metabolism specialist. He'll be the one to make the best assessment of your recent labs in the context of your specific situation. Was it your GP that prescribed the thyroid meds? An Endo is the thyroid specialist so, he'll be looking at that, too. He's also familiar with the gastro issue, as it is not uncommon with Diabetes and is within his professional scope.
The tests you mention all have to do with red blood cells: how many, how big, what colour, etc. Sometimes these tests help determine the direction or progression of disease or illness (with or without medication) as well as things like anemia. It's usually not the result that's important but how the result relates to previous tests; it's the changes that matter.
When you see the new doc, ask him to explain things, that's what he's there for. I've even gone so far as taking a little tape recorder to help me retain the message
Hang in there. You'll be in the right hands soon - an Endocrinologist (and I hope you get a good one).
