I am new to this forum, but not new to Byetta.....I have been successfully using Byetta sin 2005.....Long story short....started with 5mg inj....in 3 mons went to 10mg....after 18 months and 50 lbs weightloss and a A1C dropping to 7.0 I was returned to the 5mg dosage....ever since the weightloss, I have been suffering with hypoglycemia after each injection at the 45min to 90min range.....I am trying to find out if anyone else has suffered with hypoglycemia after the shots.....my doc said for me to eat something at the 55 min mark after an injection.....this has helped in some occasions.....I try to eat as lean as I can and don't understand what I am doing wrong.....I tried cutting all fats and adding more protein....this didn't really help.....I have tried adding more carbs.....this makes the nausea unbearable at times.....I am trying to read my body as best I can.....Its hard to determine whats sideeffects (nausea, yukky feeling, etc) or whats the onset of hypoglycemic symptoms.....I hate waiting for the jitters to start to determine I need a dose of sugar to stabalize me......sometimes I get anxiety in fear of passing out......I was told not to test my BS until 2 hours after taking my Byetta injection.....if anyone has any advise I would sure welcome it.....It seems after 6 years I would have this undercontrol.....but I am realizing its a constant change to cope with and new information is a constant need.....thank goodness we have internet forums to lean on.....how on Earth did our ancestors cope....I just want to feel some normalcy.....I am willing to do whats right, just knowing what that is can be so hard....pls help me if you can......
