After the first 2 months of being diabetic I have found a solution to my main problem. Metformin induced Diarrhoea, the high fibre diet was not curing this problem. However with the addition of a fibre suppliment, Psyllium capsules to my very low carb. high fibre diet the problem was solved within days and Blood glucose levels between 5 / 6 mmol/L. It feels wonderful to be in control of my life (and bowels) again and 14 lbs lighter. I now feel I can cope with my diabetes, life and the future.
Thankyou for this forum.
Regards Happy Cherry Cupcake

Psyllium is also instrumental in preventing post prandial spikes in blood sugar. I was part of a university study for Kelloggs where we were giving psyllium in cereal to check if it would help prevent spikes and the test results were amazing. Good to see it helps other things as well.
