I don't know of any particular diet plan for your friend. Normally, I would say he should consult with his doctor who should refer him to a nutrition specialist. From what I've read, hypoglycemics need to make sure they do not skip meals and they should keep their meals balanced between protein and carbs, not overloaded in one or the other. This helps keep blood sugar more or less level. Of course, he should have a meter to test his blood sugar so he knows what his readings are. Finally, an endocrinologist is the specialist who would help him understand all this.
