I'm just now coming to grips with nerve pain in my arms and right foot, like electrical shocks. On top of that I have Spondylosis affecting 4 disc. So with all my back pain and foot pain my life is unrecognizable. I'm just now beginning my journey to frequent doctor visits. Looking for friends with similar conditions, this is my very first blog ever hoping to hear from others out there that understand and can offer enlightenment.
Looking forward to seeing if this blog site lends an ear, family can only understand what their willing too.

Hello Quinnworks and welcome to HealingWell. Is your nerve pain neuropathy caused by diabetes? Do you have any kind of physical therapy? What meds are you taking?
Tell us more about
yourself. I'm glad you found us!

Hi, Quinnworks, and welcome! Yes, do tell us more about
you and why you have the neuropathy. I am diabetic and also have ankylosing spondylitis but am doing quite well finally. So never give up hope when it comes to feeling better again.
I'll be looking forward to hearing more from you.

Hi, Quinnworks. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet, ironically not related to my well-controlled type II diabetes. I also have arthritis in multiple joints, so I can sympathize with the pain.
I do take pain medication, but have found I'm able to tolerate a lot of pain just by forcing my mind to not attend to it. When it is really hard is when the pain is not constant, but goes away completely and then returns seconds or minutes later. I have to re-focus every time this happens.
I hope you're able to work out a strategy that works for you. Do give yourself permission to mourn the healthy, active you, and remember the steps in grieving. Everyone is here to help you in any way we can.
