Went to my cardiologist for schedule appointment, mentioned to him that probably the new meds I'm on is causing me to have a lot of gas, a problem that I never had before, he suggested that gas is a consequence of diabetes, I have cut down my fruit to a peach and nectarine a day and started taking Lactaid thinking it is a dairy problem but with no luck, anybody else have this problem

Hi Will, sorry you're having this problem. I don't know a lot about
this in reference to diabetes but this is an excerpt of what I found:
Which foods cause gas?
Most foods that contain carbohydrates can cause gas. In contrast, fats and proteins cause little gas. Foods that produce gas in one person may not cause gas in someone else, depending on how well individuals digest carbohydrates and the type of bacteria present in the intestines.
Some foods that may cause gas include
beans
vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussels sprouts, onions, mushrooms, artichokes, and asparagus
fruits such as pears, apples, and peaches
whole grains such as whole wheat and bran
sodas; fruit drinks, especially apple juice and pear juice; and other drinks that contain high-fructose corn syrup, a sweetener made from corn
milk and milk products such as cheese, ice cream, and yogurt
packaged foods—such as bread, cereal, and salad dressing—that contain small amounts of lactose, a sugar found in milk and foods made with milk
sugar-free candies and gums that contain sugar alcohols such as sorbitol, mannitol, and xylitol
This is from:
www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/health-topics/digestive-diseases/gas/Pages/facts.aspx
Seems to me if this is a new problem, then it's related to what you're eating now?

Maybe you have a 'bug' in your gut and it will pass? In the meantime, try to avoid the food on that list. Wish I could help more. Sorry.

I'm prone to gas issues when I'm constipated. A handful of almonds seems to help me.

Cannot eat Almonds, but it seems I might have become Lactose intolerant been using Lactose free yogurt and I% milk and it seems to have helped

I'm glad that you identified the problem! Here's a page from WebMD about
lactose intolerance:

I hope you're doing better. How's the summer been up there? It's been in the 90's here but some rain has given us relief finally.
