Welcome to HealingWell, Suecsdy. I am only on metformin so I have not experience with Bydureon. I think you're only the second member here who has posted about this medication.
This is from the official Bydureon website about how this drug works:
"How BYDUREON helps to manage your blood sugar:
Helps your body to release insulin when needed
Prevents the release of sugar into your system when it's not needed
Slows down how quickly the stomach digests food, to send sugar into the blood more slowly
May help you eat a bit less"
Like probably all diabetes medication, including insulin, what you eat has a direct effect on how this drug works in your system. It takes up to 6 or 7 weeks to reach its effectiveness according to the website.
If you have particular questions about what to eat while on this, you really need to ask your doctor who prescribed it because although normally a low carb eating plan is best for diabetes, if you change your diet, you may experience lows with this or other drugs.
Good luck!
