Dear Mandelbrot,
Firstly, you showed guts in getting an OGTT done, instead of postponing it.If one were to objectively analyze your OGTT readings,1)your fasting sugar was only "high normal"but 2)your 2 hour value went beyond 10.55 which i presume is 200 mgs, which is the cut-off point for the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus.Iam a diabetes specialist.A repeat of the OGTT means little because, you obviously did not eat any sweets on the previous day of the OGTT,but only had a normal meal schedule. So,i may have to tag you as having diabetes mellitus, but not to worry!Your subsequent readings were good, considering that you were only on a good diet control regime.Keep up the good work, but see a specialist at least once a month.
