Hi everyone.
I feel a little silly writing this - like Im reeling off a long list of symptoms. Over the past 12 months I had the odd occasion of what I considered to be strange symptoms. As I am a healthy 29 year old with no family history of anything serious... I ignored them.
However over the last 3 weeks, I have had an onset of different things which now dont really seem to be going away. My husband and my father in law urged me to visit my doctor, which I did do yesterday. He has done blood tests for Diabetes, over active thyroid and celiax. I am worried in case in comes back as diabetes. Now I know you will probably be saying you will just have to wait and see what the results show... but in the mean time I was wondering if anyone who has diabetes could tell me if their own experiences were like mine are and proved diabetes in the end.
I keep getting very nausious, have extreme thirst which no matter how much water (or anything else for that matter) that I drink it doesnt go away, I have more of an appetite now then ever before and get the urge to eat and eat - but on snack foods that are no good for you - yet I am losing weight!? I get frequent headaches, extreme tiredness and feeling like i have no energy, reacurrent infections ( which is becoming embarrassing) urinating more often, and mood swings... The strange thing is though all these things seem to have come at once over the last month!?
Can anyone perhaps tell me if I am worrying over nothing... or is this how you first started with symptoms?
(I have never had anything even slightly serious before... Ive only ever been poorly as a child( i think i was about 12) with viral meningitis )
