Hey I Will Conquer,
I recognize you from the A/P forum.
I'm 28 and have had Type 1 diabetes since I was 3. I'd be lying if I said everything was in total control and I was great....but the truth is that I lead a very normal life even with diabetes. I have no complications (yet), even after 25 years with the disease, I eat what I want to when I want to for the most part (adjusting my insulin to compensate, of course), and I really don't let diabetes dictate my life. My sugar levels, while not awesome, are far from bad.....I'd like them to be lower, but I don't have too far to go yet. I'm happily married and intend to have kids some day. Honestly, my A/P (which is actually relatively mild in comparison with a lot of people), feels like much more of a burden to me than my diabetes, for the most part.
If you want to email me, I'm at bethany at mts dot net. Feel free.
B.
