Hi does anyone know why your DR would give you metformin HCL 850mg two times a day and tell you that you not a diabete but i do have crohn's disease thanks for your help

If you are female you may have polycystic ovary disease (I think that's what it's called...) or you could be pre-diabetic... How about calling his office and asking the nurse why you're on that med? He should have charted it. Tell her you are confused and if she can't explain it could she please have the doctor call you. You should know why you are taking this drug.

Just a quick post to Jeannie143. I really enjoy
the tone and info in your postings. You give out
lots of good advice and seem to have a lot of
up-to-date info. I'm very lucky to have a great
team of doctors and I'm trying to learn and stay
current on any and all new diabetes education
information. Keep the encouragement coming. It's
much appreciated. another 'jeannie' ;-)

Why thank you... (Now I'm blushing.) If I didn't read and post on this board I would probably have given up on treating my disease by now. Everybody tries to help each other and give lots of encouragement. It's the only way to KOKO. (Keep on keepin' on.)
