I went to the doctor's on Saturday and got my test results back. Well things seem better then when I was first diagnosed in May of 2006. My fasting was 304, this time around it was 146, doc increased my metformin because I advised her previously that I was still having morning highs. Anywho, my liver function results this time around were normal (yay), cholestrol, etc., still alittle high, so she put me on a low dose of Lipitor, my A1c this time around was 6.0, that's right 6.0, the doc said that was excellent for me and that she would like to see me at 5.7, but 6.0 was excellent for me. WELL the only thing that I am really concerned about
is my kidneys. Apparently, my kidneys are suppose to be working between zero and 17, they are working at 115.9, the doc advised me that at this point this number will not go down, but rather increase or stay the same number, she advised me that as well as I have been doing with controlling my diabetes, etc., that she believes that my number will stay the same. SO, I look at it as if this is what I am going to die from is kidney failure due to Type 2 diabetes, I'm actually scared and not sure how I should take this news. When I left the doctors office yesterday morning the whole day I was thinking am I going to just get sick all of a sudden and die where ever I may be?! Is there a forum that I can talk to people that are having kidney problems/failure? Any suggestions would help! Thanks for listening everyone! It feels good to be able to say how you feel on here without being judged, etc.
Thanks again for listening!
