LOL DMW..you are so cute!!
Jeannie is right though, I know of 2 diabetic men in their early 40's lost their lives, just because they just couldnt give up their alcohol.
In canada, well..ontario anyway...when you are dx with diabetes, they send you to a clinic for 2 weeks of classes, educating you on your new life We were told that the occasional drink was ok...depending on what it was...like rum and coke were a definate no no, but they really did mean occasional. Like for men, it was 3 bottles a week, us girls..one, or 2 glasses of "0" wine, which was ok by me cuz thats the only wine I wud have anyway..very dry.
But it is very very rare now that I drink, its just not worth what can happen...as I have seen it first hand.
Stick to water, and and the odd diet drink...and I dont know about non-alcoholic beer, if it's allowed or not, you cud check that out maybe.
That was 3 bottles of BEER, **** not those 26 or 40 ouncers
good luck,
Diane
