Hi Amanda ... sorry to hear all that you've been through lately. I don't know how the gallbladder removal/surgery could affect your blood sugar but I can tell you... those numbers you mentioned, as well as the symptoms, tell me that your body might be having difficulty metabolizing blood sugar.
Diabetes comes in different forms (hypoglycemia, type 1, type 2, gestational) and, because it's progressive, can be caught/diagnosed at various stages.
The sweating, heart palpitations, dizziness, and chills are all classic signs of low blood sugar. Changes in skin (rashes, oily, dry, slow-to-heal cuts), unquenchable thirst, lethargy could be signs of high blood sugar.
I would try to get an appointment sooner, if I could. If you're experiencing those symptoms often, then your doc needs to be made aware so some simple tests can be run.
In the meantime, when you find yourself shaky and 'low', eat some simple sugar right away. 4-6 oz of OJ or regular pop, a squirt of icing sugar, a Tbs of honey, hard candy are all good choices of fast-acting carbs. They'll bring your sugar back up quickly. (Don't eat chocolate bar as it has too much fat to act quickly enough). If you're not going to eat a meal within an hour, then have a snack: 1/2 apple with peanut butter, cheese & crackers, etc... something with protein/fat.
Hope this helps some
