Hi Sandy and Tutorgirl, well, I'm hoping my lab results will continue to be good, and if they are, I will just have to be honest with my doctor and explain what I've been eating and what I haven't been. When I was in her office in May, all she knew was that I'd lost weight but she couldn't have known the lab results when I saw her. She wrote 'outstanding' and 'excellent' on the copy of the lab tests sent to me in the mail afterwards, but I hadn't explained to her details of my diet. I understand that she would be in a strange postion to tell patients not to follow the standard medical field's advice for diet, not to adhere to the ADA. I guess I don't expect her to turn and say it's all garbage, but at least she'll know how I got to the point where I lowered my blood sugar readings, the A1c and the cholesterol. Hmm. I'm trying to envision now what she'll say and the look on her face.
