Not a Diabetes question but need help for my wife's bladder infections

Any of you ladies out there ever heard of a woman getting bladder infections almost constant. If they do knock it out with antibiotics it comes back in a couple of months. She has had systoscope and show nothing. And her going on and off antibiotics is not good either.

Anyone ever heard of a person having cronic bladder infections?

Yes, I've heard of it and it may be starting in her kidneys. Get her to a nephrologist for a complete kidney/bladder workup. Chronic bladder infections can also back up into the kidneys and cause nephrosis.

Sometimes all the uses of antibiotics kill the good bacteria and start the cycle of treatment-infection-treatment-reinfection. She can do some things on her own to help prevent the cycle. Drink cranberry juice everyday. Drink a lot of water. Don't take long baths, or just take showers. Eat yogurt. Look for yogurt or milk that says "lactobacillus acidophilus" which helps keeps the good bacteria alive. Be careful with personal hygiene. What does her doctor say?
