Hello.
I just got home from my sleep deprived EEG. For whatever reason I am not tired right now. I have to take a shower and get all of this junk out of my hair  skull . SO anyway, it was my first sleep deprived EEG. It went well. I did not fall asleep. I did not like the strobe lights, but I was okay. My eyes were tearing horribly and she kept asking me if I was okay during the strobe lights. I am happy I didn't have a TC. That must mean the Keppra is helping. They said it takes 5-7 days for the results. I was unhappy that I had no jerking during the test. I think that was one of the main reasons he sent me for it. I get jerks at night and in the morning, and an electrical buzzing feeling down my spine ) . They asked me questions like who it the president and what is 7 x 3. Stuff like that. I was nervous and I didn't fall asleep. Time to wash my hair. Yuck. eyes racy

good job! I knew you could get through it. Yeah all that junk in your hair, that's what i hate most about EEGs. I'm glad you didn't have a TC. Sometimes I feel really tired after them and sometimes not, at least get a little sleep or try to rest. Hope the rest of your day goes well! ~Jessica

Tracy theres suppose to be something that gets the gunk out of the hair easy but I forgot what it is..

Just to let you know Jeremy said after his well I didnt have any of the jerks or any partials well the EEG showed a different story so just because you dont feel them does not mean they are not happening in a lighter degree.

I hope you get the results real soon get some rest and I sent you the cutest thing in email.

I wish you could have gotten the AEEG but atleast the EEG is over now.  The positive side is that you haven't had any sz's and since school is so close now everything is coming together.

Thank you Christine, you are such a support to me. I am still thinking of re-applying to the LPN program next fall. I don't know if it is too soon to make that decision. But thanks for your post here and on BT. I just slept 12 hours. Ha ha that test made me tired!! Love Tracy

Oh I didn't tell you that they called me after I got home a few hours maybe two to tell me the results were normal. I found it odd they knew so fast but I don't really know how that world operates. All I know is that my 24 hr AEEG results took three weeks to get back. Thanks for the post Jen, miss talking to you. HUGS guys :)

Different places seem to take different amounts of time. With AEEG or VEEG it often takes longer ....USUALLY our regular EEGs take about a week. Might be the doctor was able to read your right away.

At least you do not have to wait to find out what it showed....Meds are helping, maybe!

I was shocked at the amount of time they took to read it. It is just a testing center and my personal neuro didn't read it. I think I will follow up with the neuro office later in the week just to make sure everything is fine. I am still gearing up for school and very excited. 3 weeks from today I start YIPPEE!!!
