gonna have my first eeg is 15 years since i was 15
i had 1 seizure register back then and have been on dilatin ever since
what can i expect will this eeg say if im epileptic or not

looking for help,

i have been prescribed anti epileptic medication, however this medication wouldnt work and i had a adverse effect from a increase in 1 of my meds and i still havent recovered as its effected all my joints muscles and even down 2 excessive facial selling. i had a sleep deprived eeg that hadnt worked or came back normal as i take heavy medication b4 i sleep.............my neurologist said he may have a incorrect diagnosis if this is the case does any one no what the other possibilities of my seizures may be. any advice would be gratefull

Angela, Seizures can happen for a number of reasons. Not just epilepsy. Diabetics can have a seizure. When actor River Phoenix died, had a seizure caused by the illegal drugs he was taking.

Is it really true that this kind of disorder is hereditary or can possibly get just by falling in high area for instance in a tree?

no one had it in my family
i had no head injury and when i was 15 i had 2 seizures they said i was epileptic now im 30 havent had any since been on dilantin and now they tell me i was never epileptic and want me to quit the dilantin
