new kid on the block

hi my name is misty and i'm 25 yr old i was doin some reading on this site i've been doin alot of research on seizures here lately i had them for 24 yrs i had the right temporal lobe lactomy april 7,2004 so i'm workin on 2 yrs being seizure free i'm still on meds i take 1300mlg of triliptal a day i wanna come of but scared my doc said some ppl wait till they have been seizure free for 2 yrs so we will see i had seizures due to scar tissue from a high fever when i was 2 months old i suffered from the de ja vu and the panic feeling that comes with it sometimes they would lead to the grand mal but i'm here for anyone who is considering surgery it was the best thing i could have ever done being how i was having them up to 6 times aday i had my surgery at medical college of augusta ga. they are a great team i would refer them to anyone i still see them my self but thanks for listening

So glad to hear that you have been seizure free for 2 yrs after the surgery. I am looking at facing the surgery myself so it is wonderful to hear positive information and thoughts! All the best to you remaining seizure free!
