does anyone with seizure disorders also have panic attacks?

i'm not sure if it's because i fear having a seizure because i have a panic attack...
i didn't have them for about 10 yrs. while on dilantin
and this yr. my dr. changed my meds
and the last few months i'm having severe panic attacks
the bad thing about them is they feel like what i feel before having a seizure

disoriented, sounds are loud or fade, dizziness, hot or cold

i have an appt to see my neurologist in the middle of march
but i've had drs. say before that the 2 are totally unrelated

help!

i go to see him the 8th of march
had another bad one today at work (panic attack)
i fought it for about an hour then finally took a nerve pill
i hate having to take meds - but the panic attacks are worse
wouldn't wish them on anyone :)

i'm exactly the same way.
the other day i'm having lunch with my boss and 2 co-workers
we all have a good relationship you know
and here i'm having a panic attack for who knows what reason
i'm trying so hard to concentrate on what they're saying
and at the same time try to keep myself together and not end up on the floor
normally i'm pretty talkative in a small group setting
and there was definitely some lull's in the conversation there

i asked my female co-worker later
if she noticed anything (it was that bad - thought i might be having mini-seizure)
she said no - she didn't notice anything diff.
amazing!

i looked online last night about the comb. of seizures and panic attacks
and there certainly seems to be a correlation

had a bad panic attack while i was getting my hair done!!!
that should not be an anxiety type thing...

because i too was starting to wonder if i was the only one
since i'd gotten so little response w/this question
seizures are bad enought w/o panic attacks too!
and after the panic attacks i'm just exhausted
almost like i've had a seizure

was reading up on panic attacks/seizures the other night
online gave some interesting statistics
apparently people w/seizure disorder have a much higher rate of panic attacks
than the general population

i went for 5 yrs w/o getting medication about 10 yrs ago
and i'm not going to do that again
the meds worked for me then - and i will definitely do that again
this is not the way to live
i could understand a little better if it was just times of extreme stress
but mine seem to happen at any time
not necessarily anything stressful happening at all
i do have a stress ful job with lots of deadlines
but i'll go one day and not have any, and the next have several

that does help! so i'm not crazy after all :)
after i started taking the dilantin years ago that's when mine stopped too
but my doctor last year changed my meds to lamictal
monday - having an ambulatory eeg done to see if they are real panic attacks
or mini seizures - cause i feel so worn out afterwards, i guess
getting ready to go thru a whole battery of test again
fun fun - i know my bosses must just love this!
ah well... think i'll go work in my flwr garden
and get my mind off all the negative
peaceful thoughts, ya know?
