Complications, disease, aging, etc.

Now I'm looking mostly for disease. I found that epileptics have an increased risk for schizophrenia and osteoporosis. I thought I read something about parasites earlier, but I can't find it now. What are epileptics at risk for?

I thought I read about parasites as a result of epilepsy earlier, but I couldn't find it again, and now I've found sources with parasites as a cause of epilepsy, so I've concluded that that was probably what I read earlier. Sorry, I didn't mean to panic you about parasites.

Some sources say parasites are a cause, just a few bring that into question.

Also I first read about it in a book, but remembered it wrong. It was either in "Epilepsy and the Family" by Richard Lechtenberg, MD or in "Epilepsy" by Elaine Landau.

I take it that parasites do not normally cause epilepsy in the US or Europe, but they commonly cause epilepsy in third-world countries, but not everyone believes this.

Sorry it doesn't seem funny like the demonic possession theory. I read about that too. Hippocrates first said that it was a brain disorder, but many still believed it was demonic possession. I hadn't read about celestial retribution.
