Hey all! I am new here, looking for some advice. Switching meds from Topamax to Keppra, anyone have any wise words of advice?

Make the transition very gradually or it could trigger a seizure, worse than before.

Here are some things that you should be aware of when changing meds:

Is your Doctor aware that you are changing meds?

Are you aware of the side effects from the Keppra such as light headedness or dizzyness at first?

I have been weening myself off topamax rather gradually and taking the perscribed dose of keppra. Although it turned out to be the generic form levitriacetam. Was wondering if anyone had any advice... Thank you by the way. I have noticed excelllent devil mood changes that occur for no reason now.

I have become a bit dizzy and quite clumsy since taking the generic Keppra.
