I've been on depakote er & topamax for years. And never Seizure free. After years of different doctors. Different trials of drugs. I've been placed on keppra. Still Weinning off depakote. That make my med intake, all 3, here's my issue. Sleep sleep n more sleep. Hair loss like there ain't nobody's business, and if you don't have your own trouble with balance from the after shock of a seizure. Now, it's constant. Here's the best vogue look of em all.. Looking "glassed eyed, red eyed, n pupil diluation"...

I've delt with gan mals since a child. To the point where nobody noticed em, nor I. We called em... Black outs. Now, as I get older, they get worse, n if your familiar with todd's paralysis. He's my next door line up. So if us don't mind, I'd be greatly appreciated to any advise.. And Thank you

Have you notified your doctor? I was on Keppra for a week and it was aweful and she switched me to Lamictal and I haven't had any problems yet.

I'll give him a shout out, he's the only one after years of book wormed neuro's. N not people concerned. Guess I'm gun shy. And considering "vimpat" was a trip from hell n back. If I may ask, te disk issues.. I no my joints are hurting. Lower back. But I Dnt no ur case. N I'm just greatful to hear from someone... Txs Annie..

The neck pain is from a rear-end accident 2 years ago.  I have chronic pain and to top it off, during an EMG (testing nerves with needles) I ended up with terrible TMJ (locking jaw joint) and sometimes can barely eat.  Now on top of all that I had a tonic clonic a month ago after surgery and EEG shows constant seizure activity on the left lobe. 

Aint life grand?

Good luck getting your meds in order...I hope the Keppra does not make you crazy insane.

Annie, your being great help. Knock on wood. No grand mal seizure for me since August 23rd. 2012. This neuro is suppose to wein me off depakote, n I'll assume bump up keppra.. O joy. O yes, increase my topamax. I've took it upon myself, if he's Weinning me, 2 months now, let's help him along. Perhaps I just can't function with a lot of intake of meds. I've dropped my 500mg of depoakote. Am. And stayed awake for the 1st day in 16 days... Does this make sense. Mind u, I was born with grand mals. Family trait... Lucky choice I might add. And I pray for you, I pray for all the suffer. So far, no mood swings btw. But I'm still not that happy bouncy camper I once was. N I'm sick of ppl asking, r you depressed. I'm pretty bold. I'd tell them. Let's say, Annie, ty!!

Keppra. Did not start till I took this drug
1.sleep am/pm
2. Hair loss
3. Memory issues

But, I'm not giving up! And I'll cast a prayer 4 all
