Joe just had another seizure. The Dr. upped his keppra after the last one to 2000mg a day for a week and then we go to 3000mg a day.

His seizures are coming closer together, 10 days between 1st and 2nd, 7, 2nd and 3rd,

5, 3rd and 4th.

I will call the Dr. again tomorrow and see whats what.

Not sure what else to do???????

So Sorry to hear what you're going thru. It sounds so familiar. My daughter Kimmy has been having quite a few. They are shorter since they added trileptal to her Keppra about 3 weeks ago. But, the trileptal makes her feel yucky too. I'm like you what to do. I'll say a prayer for Joe, because that's all I can do on this end. Keep us informed.

Thank you. How old is your daughter? I hope things go well with her. I will add her to my prayers as well, doing alot of that lately!!!
The Neuro. added topomax and ativan. so we will see.
They wanted to give me a suppository for him, I had to remind them that he is 19, 250 lbs.
Told the nurse that I did not want to be the one standing there when he woke up striped and found someone had stuck something up his butt!! Good for a laugh anyway!!!

Hi Edith. I hope Joe is doing better. I am on Keppra and finds it works well for me. Took me about 3 months to adjust to the Keppra. Everytime the neuro tries to up my dose, I have a bad reaction. But since in school I have had some breakthrough partials/nocturnals. Give it a good chance after adjusting to the higher dose. I wish you guys luck. '
