My daughter has been in the hospital since Monday--this is her 4th day, and her second of sleep deprivation. We were so hoping that something would show to explain her odd symptoms, which include 'spells' of seeing things larger or smaller, sudden intense 'realizations' when things seem hyper-real and she gets butterflies and feels fear, odd physical sensations of numbness or altered touch perception, occasional headaches that are a spot of nausea in the middle of her forehead.... Most medications bring it on...antihistamines, alcohol, some antibiotics, any ADHD medications. So far all the neuro has seen is a slowing of the brain waves. They are slower than they should be for her age. Today is her MRI. The neuro won't say anything definate for at least 2 weeks so she can go over all of the testing. Does this sound familiar to anyone? What happens if they don't see anything? My daughter has these 'spells' at least 10 times per day and it is affecting her life--school work, social life, emotional well-being. Thank you all so much for any support or information you can give.
