Greeting from florida.... Fay is on the way and hope all of you from Florida are ready for it. I am,I have a generator and plenty of water stocked and ready.  

The weather is doing a number on me. 

 I live just south of Jacksonville.

As of now we have wind and rain starting.  The bands maybe coming in.

Hi Tink,

Glad you are ready. I live in West Palm Beach near the intracoastal waterway. Fay is still leaving her effects here now, and last night and today have been very blustery and VERY rainy. I brought in my plants, lawn furniture and BBQ. Even though she did not make landfall here, she has certainly left her mark. The feeder bands are still coming through. I was just out back with my dog and it was clear. I was picking up tree branches and such and then it suddenly started pouring on us!

Make sure you are prepared for the power outage that is possible and I am sure you know the drill! I turned my frig & freezer a little colder and turned my A/C down a little lower to stay cooler in case the power went out.

Hang in there Tink! Luckily, this one doesn't look so bad and I hope it doesn't gain any strength before it gets to you.

Please keep us posted on how you weather the storm

Oh boy, bless you all down there right now. I am thinking of all of you and praying for everyone too. I hope rain and some wind is all you get, and not strong winds either.

My fingers are crossed, my legs, arms, and even my eyes that you weather out this storm safely. Keep us all here updated if you can.

You talk about the weather getting to you? I live in Ocala, middle of the state, and we have had rain for seven, count em, seven days now and I'm about to go out of my ever lovin mind here. Now we are going to get a tropical storm on top of it?? Oh my gosh I don't think so. It better not head here (looks like its coming straight for us too).

Oh well, try to stay positive. I have bottled water. Generator doesn't work, but my daughter's does. She is only five month's pregnant and her husband is out of town working. Stay positive Linda, stay positive. Well I'll take my frozen stuff to her freezer if we lose power. We have been lucky so far with recent storms. EWWWWWWWWWWW maybe our number is up????? Stay positive........................

Oh wow Linda,

Fay is headed to you guys. My best friend lives in the Orlando area and she is getting ready too. It wasn't too bad here, so I hope the same for you. I love rain, but 7 days in a row is TOO MUCH and now a tropical storm. Jeez!! This is an eye opener though and I am really ready to get into Hurricane Season mode. I will never forget Hurricane Seasons in 2004 and 2005... we had so many back to back. It was EXHAUSTING!

Hang in there. Glad you and your daughter can lean on each other :-)

Fingers crossed for a "non-event" for the rest of Fay.

new up date they said it is going to go off the coast into warmer water and possabley hitting around us a cat 1 hurrican. 3 more behind her. I do not know if I like the hurricans or snow stormes????

Tink, I just checked the National Hurricane center.  There are no more storms heading our way...just a disturbance way out in the Atlantic.

 

I'm in the Tampa Bay area and it completely missed us!  I fully prepared myself and we haven't gotten a drop of rain nor even a slight breeze!  Now, that could change this evening.  I'll keep you up to date.

Girls, I'm glad things may be looking better for you.  I have thought about quitting my job and moving to Florida, but when hurricane season starts up I don't know if I want to or not.

 

Isn't it comforting to know that your Fibro family is praying for you all across America and Canada?

 

You are a wonderful bunch of people.  I'm so glad I found you.

This thing is crazy. It is just like a women and keeps changing its mind. We have we have lots of wind, does anyone have a boat then I can hold up a sheet and fly away, lots of rain.

   Oh well.

Girls be safe. I can't even imagine what that does to the body. I know what storms and tornadic action does to my body. Then you throw in the stress factor.

 

Hope it is gone soon.
