Sheryl, I have been getting these shots from the ortho dr. my pcp sent me to. He wanted to give me steroid shots at first, I told him no Steroids, so they are trying to rebuild the cartilage in my knees w/ this stuff. I can't remember the name , but it is made from chickens (Sorry, Chutz). I'm still having a hard time w/ walking. The dr. said sometimes it takes a few wks to help. I go back to him next wk, I assume he will x-ray and give me an update. I personally think he will suggest MORE shots. I have been doing all the exercises he suggested, and yet, my legs still feel off.
The ortho also has me going to PT for my shoulder, I'm into the 2nd series of sessions. I can move my arm just so far, and then it locks and pops. They tell me I'm doing well, but I still can't lift much weight. The guy is nice, but he doesn't know much about FMS. I feel terrible when I go in, stiff, achy, nauseous, sweaty, or shivering cold, my arms shake while doing some exercises. He will ask what is causing this or that reaction. I tell him this is Fibro, his response is 'Oh'.
Sheryl, what kind of surgery did you have on your knees? I hope you get some relief w/ you knees.
God bless. Alice.
