I've been taking Lyrica and Cymbalta together for about a year. The Cymbalta has to be taken first thing in the morning. I take 300mg of Lyrica 2x a day. I went to my rheumatologist about 10 days ago and since spring have been having more depression and fatigue. The doctor increased my Cymbalta dosage from 60mg to 120mg. I was a little concerned about the large dosage but it has greatly helped my fatigue and stress. I am able to relax and enjoy my life a bit, and isn't that what life is all about?
As for the Lyrica helping pain, for me it just seems to help with the burning type of pain-but not the aching. I have burning in both of my hamstrings which are very tight-the Lyrica is the only thing that relieves it at all. At first, it made me a little dizzy, but now it doesn't bother me.
I take xanex to sleep at night and I go right to sleep, but since the increase in Cymbalta I haven't slept as sound. But before the increase I was so tired all the time that I barely had enough energy to do anything. I guess I'll try it for awhile and see what happens!
