A new symptom maybe???

OK so last year I was hurt at work and a ganglion cyst appeared in my knee...they said it was there but what I did aggrivated it enough that it blew up and I had it surgicaly removed on Nov 3rd. On Tuesday night I noticed my knee felt very stiff and tight and had a hard time sleeping, tonight at work it swelled so bad that I couldn't straighten it all the way and I couldn't bend it very far. My knee is huge and there is a hard lump. I did some searching and found that a recurring ganglion could mean rheumatiod arthritis in the future but all my blood work for this has been negetive.

I don't want this pain, I have enough with my hands and feet that anything hurting in between is not needed dang it.

I am calling my ortho in the morning to see if I can get in to see him. Last time I was out of work till June and it was not fun.

Has anyone else had recurring ganglion cysts and if so what did they do for them??

Yep I have em!  One in each wrist. I had them removed when I was 18 because they were messing with my tendons, the plastic surgeon asked if my parents swung me around by my hands as a kid.  Well I practically begged my Dad to swing me LOL.  The surgeon said that I would probably get them back because of the repetitive motion of typing all day.  I have one that has come back in my right wrist over the past few months and boy oh boy does it hurt!  By the end of the day my whole forarm and especially my hand ache really badly or have a burning sensation.  If it hurts like that in my wrist I can imagine what it must feel like in the knee's having to walk on them...yikes..I hope your ortho can help get them fixed!
