How Much Lyrica Do You Take?

What is your doseage on Lyrica? I was just wondering, I am on 450mg/day & not getting the relief I was expecting.

Hi Mom,

I am on 600 mg @ day and you can easily go up tp that 600. Now for me I could go even higher and my doc said it maxes out at 900 mg @ day butu most insurance companies won't pay for you to go higher then 600 like mine. I did have quite a bit of relief for a long time going to the 600 but for me nothing will ever compare to those 1st few weeks on the lyrica,that was the best it will ever get.

I am on 450 mg per day and it works quite well for me. I used to get horribly debilitating headaches, and now I just get sort of all-over bodyaches starting around 2 pm every day. I tried 600 mg but I wondered if it made me sleepy and sort of "druggy". I dunno. I was also experimenting with Tramacet at the same time, so we'll see.

Hi All,

I just began Lyrica after being on Cymbalta for 4 months. It just stopped working when the weather changed. I am taking 325 mg per day and I am getting some relief, but still finding I have some aches and pains, but it is tolerable.I just started lyrica last Tuesday, and I am feeling rather loopy. It makes me tired and sooooooo thirsty. I drink a ton of water anyway, but with this lyrica, I have to be drinking water all the time! I am also taking a muscle relaxer with the lyrica and it helps control the spasms. I had no idea you could take 900 mg of this stuff. Geez, I can't imagine what I would be like then!! I am hoping I get used to it within the next couple weeks. I hope you get the rlief you need soon, Mominmich.

I am taking 400 mgs of Lyrica and I've been feeling the last couple of weeks, (not sure if its the weather change or what) that I need my dosage upped. I'm getting ready to call my rheumy and see what she says. I take 200 in the am and 200 in the pm and its just really starting to not give good relieve which then means I have to take more percocets. She gave me darvacet, that does absolutly nothing for my pain.

 

For those who take it, how often during the day do take it?

I started lyrica over a year ago. I gradually went up to 450 mg. but it didn't seem to improve anything except my sleep. Due to the cost and the weight gain, I cut back to 100 mg. at bedtime. This seems to work as well as the higher dose. Diane

i'm on 250mg of lyrica - they were going to raise it but I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the side effects so they didn't want to give me any more just yet. I think they might still raise it, but I hope they don't.

I was on it for one day and got so sick. Not taking any meds right now.

I almost threw up when I took two 75 mg capsules together, rather than starting with just one. But one was fine, and after a couple of weeks of one in the a.m. and one in the p.m., I increased it to two in the p.m. but didn't feel sick.

If you want to try it again, perhaps ask your dr. for an anti-emetic medication until you get used to it?
