hi, I am new here and in the process of being diagnosed. I have this forgetfulness/fog alot and have wondered what the heck it was. I too thought I was just losing it. Sometimes it takes all I have to get through the day, and my speech becomes more jumbled day by day. This is hard for me because I have always been the keeper of the schedule for my family. I completely understand how you are feeling. Hang in there and know your not the only one.

thank you all and I look forward to sharing with and learning from you. Some of the things I am reading are scary because they much more severe than I am currently experiencing. The hardest part is dealing with all and still having to be a mom to my almost 3 year old who doesn't understand that "mommy hurts".

Glad to hear from you jliven! I'm sure your mom duties are much harder than is fair. My daughter has a 2 1/2 year old so I can understand a bit what you are going through. She also has fibro and comes on the boards when she can.

One thing...or a couple... to remember is you need to take time for you! It's almost impossible when you have little ones but you do need mommy time, especially with fibro. Take time for a warm, soothing bath/shower. Get those muscles warm and relaxed. It will help a bunch. If you have a s/o then he needs to help out by entertaining the little one, or wait til after bedtime to have your relaxation time. Be careful to portion out things you need to get done. That's a polite way of saying...don't over do it or you'll pay the price! Most of us here are living examples of how NOT to do it...lol It's just so hard not to get busy when your pain is at bay, but then the next day or few are absolutely miserable. Pace yourself.

There are some good threads to head on this topic. It's about something called The Spoon Theory. I'll move it and another couple to the top for you and the other newbies to the forum. Newbies, around here, is an endearing term...not meant in a bad way at all.
