Hello, I am 35 and have several health issues including fibro. I won't bore you with the list. Anyway I am glad to find a place where there are others like me.

I am 42 and have been fighting the fibro fight for at least 4 years. Stick around, we'll share stories, thoughts and laughs here.

Hi, Dolphinfire, and welcome!  I'm so glad you found us.  You have come to a good place.  We have great people that have wonderful ideas to help you live a full and enjoyable life with fibromyalgia.  And a bonus is that we really do care about each other.

 

Be sure to check out the Fibro 101 thread...the second thread on the forum.  There are links to great info about fibro in that thread.  You will learn a lot.  Also read back posts and ask questions.  That's what we are here for.

 

I'm happy that you have joined our family and I hope to hear more from you  soon.

Hi Dolphin, and welcome! You have been welcomed by many, but in our little fibro funny farm, we say NO! to that silly stinkin pain! [doing my worst scarface imitation :] You have heard that this is an outstanding place of compassionate people, but let me give you a tiny taste of what this forum means to me: In August of 2008, my husband was out of the country for several weeks and I was alone in the Twin Cities, having just moved there 2 months before. I slipped into a horrid flare so fast that it scared me, a flare like no other I had ever experienced. SO- lets recap- new to the community, knew no one yet, husband gone, family and friends 1500 miles away. My flare took me down! So- I got on this forum, described what was going on, got some great advice, and took it- got myself to the hospital and found treatment for all the crazy things the flare did in a short time. I felt then and still do that without the intervention of my pals here, I would have been in real trouble. SO- don't ever hesitate to talk to us, we will all understand and offer whatever help we can, with no judgements or strings attached. Peace!

Welcome dolphin! Your little disfuctional family who's always in pain & always forgets your name!lol...just kidding. On your way out,don't forget to pick up you complimentary heating pads,vicodin,and table top lighthouse for when the FOG is bad. smilewinkgrin
