Tingly parts, gravel eyes,hip injections

Goodmorning Everyone...........I called in sick today.

Of course I feel guilty but I woke up about 4 am rolling around as usual with my aches and pains, but I had a nasty headache on top of it. Nothing really different for me except I had some strange tickle sensation on the top of my head. It wasn't the kind of itchy feelin' were you scratch and it stops. It was weird. It has subsided now, but has any felt that b/4? I've got itchy spots now, like my tailbone area, my stomach and the back of my neck area. That feels like my nerves are playing with me, so maybe that was what the top of my head was doing so early this morning.

Has any every feel like you have gravel in your eyes? My eyes don't feel noticeably dry but at the inside toward my nose area of my eyes when the move around its like a scratchy/bumpy feeling.

My hips (especially my right) are driving me crazy. I can barely walk sometimes. I have had x-rays, mri's done on my whole body but their is no "problem" that they see. I have been getting cortisone injections every 3 months but it only last for about 6 weeks if I'm lucky. I don't see my Rhumy for another 4 weeks. So I guess my question would be if any gets injections often, how far apart and should I be worried about any long term side affects.

Well if ya' all can give me some feed back I would appreciate it. Thanx in advance...

I see that you just recently received your diagnosis. I am so sorry to hear that, but glad you are here to share and ask questions. I have had all of those symptoms, in fact my eyes are very inflamed right now, visibly red around the ring, if you know what I mean. As for the hip pain and shots, I received only 1 set of cortisone shots in my SI joints. And that was about 1 year ago and I have not had any more trouble with it. But the reason may be because I quit working soon after. So, I wasn't bending, stooping, standing or walking and lifting! All of those things were killing me, and I was walking with a cane for a while.

I have heard that if you are getting more then twice a year that the cartilage can begin to breakdown more with the shots and it is counter productive to have them more then that.

I have also had the creepy tingling sensation you are talking about. People with MS and other neuropathy problems have it as well. It is my best guess that Fibromites have it as a common symptom. I had a couple days where it seemed the tag on my shirt kept rubbing me the wrong way and hurting my neck. Then I remembered it was tagless! Very irritating. I used cortisone cream on my itching parts, and it seems to calm it down a tad.

Hope it helps a little to know you are not alone in your pain. Looking forward to hearing more from you. I do not know how you guys with Fibromyalgia continue to work full-time. I could never go back with the way I feel each day.So, be kind to yourself and don't feel guilty about it. Take the rest when you need it, because you never get it back!

I get the itchy, tingly feeling in all parts of my body at one time or another. It just moves around. You actually are kind of lucky with the cortizone. I got them in my hips and it worked for 1 week. So I can't get anymore. No one seems to know what is wrong with my hips, but they both hurt and I can only walk about a block at a time, before the pain is excruciating. Good luck finding some relief. Diane

I also have problems with my rt hip, I told my dr. and he put me on peroxicam and it helped. The itchy tingling feeling, get that too, I have psoriasis on my hands. And I am constantly feeling like something is crawling on me but there is never anything there.

i get the tingly feeling, too! especially on my scalp. i have a son in preschool and one in elementary school, and i am constantly paranoid that they have brought home head lice!
