I am having all my regular symptoms..actually they are little more intense but I am also running a low grade temp. How do you differentiate between fibro and the flu if you don't throw up??

I felt real crappy this weekend myself. Besides my "hot flashes" throughout the day I woke up saturday just feeling ill (pretty lethargic) and my nose was getting all stuffed up. I took some cold/flu meds and rolled back into bed and drifted in and out for a few hours. I took more decongesants and took another nap and even went to bed early. I felt o.k. yesterday, except for my usual aches and pains, today I feel fine as far as my sinuses are concerned but I am still dealing with the hot flashes though.

Sometimes our bodies (females) go through slight body tempature changes throughout different times of the month in regards to our cycle. You could bring it up with your doc next time about your temp. I tell my docs anything and everything. I try to leave no stone unturned. :-) When all else fall I get on here and write and read.

Hi 2boyzmom-

Since getting fibro I am running a constant low grade temp. Around 99 plus. That is the norm for me now. I don't get the nausea. When I get sick, it's all or nothing. I get clobbered and I know I'm sick! shocked   You might be trying to fight something off also.

Speaking of sinuses, mine have been the worst they have ever been this winter. It has been daily that they are giving me grief and I am not sick. I think because this has been the harshest winter we have had in a long time. I did start up the humidifier in my house and I just shuffle it around to each room as I think about it throughout the day. It does help.

YEAH, I was actually wondering this as well... the past few days I feel like I have a cold but I wasn't sure if it was just the Fibro!!!

I think it is a cold indeed because my nose is never stuffy like this and I have lots of gross phelghm in my throat.. (Ick!)

Thanks all!

I am unusually tired and took Monday off of work. At least the dizziness and nausea stuff is managable.

I didn't take my ultram on Saturday and Sunday so that could have explained the very painful joints, but I took it again on Monday and slept all morning!

Has anyone gone to Mayo or Iowa City or some big hospital for a second opinion? After this last flare up my mom and husband are suggesting this to me.....
