First night with Restylin

Hi Ya'll....

ok...went for my appt. with my new rhemy on Wed.Really liked her,seemed to really be interested in helping me,great personality.She ordered some blood work,and gave me a script for restylin,a sleep aid,30 mg.to see if getting my sleep pattern better would help the pain,no pain meds,but thats ok.So last night around 9 pm I took the pill,and waited....and waited....and waited.Along about 1 am,I started to get drowsy,but through the night,I was still up and down,and very agitated.I have never had a sleep drug before in my life,and I guess i was expecting to be knocked out cold.So this morning,I'm stiff and hurting,not to bad,just same ol' same old,although my back feels like a frat party has been going on there all night.Am I expecting to much?Or does this stuff take time to work? I really want to feel better today,my son and girlfriend are staying tonight and they are bring Rock Band over and dog gone it,I wanna play! I am in desperate need of some fun.

So glad your appt. went well. I have never tried restylin b/4, I take ambein as needed but if I can remember when I first used it, it took a couple/few nights to get the rest I was looking for. You could call your doc and tell her what happened, they may make you feel better if its going to work or you might need to change it up.

Sounds like a blast tonight! Do whatever it is you need to take or do to be able to enjoy a Rock Band moment........I might drop in...HA!

I'm sooo stoopid! Its Restoril!You got me hopeful about the wrinkles..lol!binki and anybody else...come on over!We'll have a full-blown Rock Band party!I can be in ATL. airport in 2 hrs. & I'll pick everybody up...I'll even make a good ol' southern dinner.Fried chicken,potato salad w/bacon,deviled eggs,baked beans,cole slaw,corn bread,sweet tea and banana puddin'.Paula Dean ain't got nothin' on me!

Yep..I'm in Blairsville...up in the mountains.I definatly know where Alpharetta is and my birthday is in May!We'll meet at the Tabernacle and catch a concert....woohoo!

my doc prescribed restoril for me (temazapam) when Ambien stopped working for me, and the restoril did NOTHING...but I was taking 15 mg. I would call the doc right away and let her know the med is not working.

As far as the Ambien not working, now, I can take them for about three weeks, and then have to go off of them for a week, to reset my system, so to speak. During that week, I take the restoril and a flexeril and still don't sleep well, but at least I know it's just a week.

I do think quieting our minds is key. I can be exhausted, falling asleep sitting up and go to bed and I'm wide awake and my mind is just racing. Lately, I have started to listen to my Ipod. I download "quiet" music, mainly Josh Groban, or podcasts from Wayne Dyer and I barely hear the first minute and I'm out. It also pretty much drowns out my DH's snoring!
