According to certain other people (read: siblings) I don't have any real style and never have. It seems like I've ALWAYS dressed for comfort. Perhaps b/c I've had fibro symptoms since I was young? I for one do not understand what people find so comfortable about
jeans. Denim is not comfortable to me! It's stiff, it's restrictive...ugh. Especially after you wash them. I can wear "casual" attire in the office, so most people wear jeans, but I'd really rather wear a skirt! I find flowing skirts w/ elastic waistbands to be more comfortable than jeans and pants. If not a skirt, I wear pants that aren't as tight and stiff as jeans...I have the most heavenly pair of soft khakis. If I'm home, I'm strictly in sweats, t-shirts and hoodies. I go out in those too, but DBF drew the line when I wore workout pants to the bar one night...boo. He and my sisters designated a drawer in my dresser for clothes that are never allowed to leave the house.
I can tell you my favorite items of clothing: a t-shirt I've had literally since I was a kid, it's so worn out and threadbare you can see through it in spots; a pair of jeans I've had for, oh...10 years that are also so worn they're threadbare and have a giant rip just under the butt cheek; a giant hooded sweatshirt that I acquired from some ex-bf somewhere along the way; and my college sweatpants.
As for shoes, I don't do heels, never have. Being only 5' tall you'd think I would, but I hate them. For one thing I can't walk in them and for another they hurt my feet. I prefer sneakers and if I can't wear sneakers I prefer flats. At home - slippers! I have these fur-lined clogs that I love but I think DBF threw them out b/c I can't find them lately...they had holes in the rubber soles and kept getting rocks caught inside them and rattling all around when I walked...
Makeup - I wear only eye liner, cream blush and mascara. I wouldn't wear any at all but I don't like how pale I am without it. My hair, I just wash and let it dry most days. Thankfully it's mainly straight so it doesn't look too bad, although I prefer a ponytail.
So style...didn't lose it, never had it! You can't lose something you never had I s'pose...my sisters keep telling me that at 24 I should be fashionable but...I'm not trying to impress anybody.
