hi lemonlime here any one ever here of a skin disorder called pityrasis- rosea, it is a rash on your face neck and back they say 6 - 8 weeks but mine has been longer thanks all have agood day confused

my son had that when he was about 11 years of age. it lasted about 3 months.
they said a virus caused it and they gave him topical steroid cream. it didnt really help as it had to run its course. he didnt feel bad, but the rash is not very pretty.
he had it on his back, arms and legs. he never got it again.

Hi,

  I am new here and saw this post.  I got this horrible "virus" or whatever you want to call it about 6 years ago.  For me it lasted

about 2 months and the itch and pain was soo bad I had my dh and kids use my dogs brush with the metal bristles to scratch me and they could never scratch hard enough.  The only medicine that helped was (racking brain, oh the fog),,,,,finally after 15 mins of searching LOL (nurse for 15 years, hehe)  Atarax aka Hydroxyzine!  I took 2 50mg tabs a few times a day, benadryl didnt cut it!
