I can't fully describe the skin sensation I've been feeling.  It feels hot and prickly on top and yet get chills from within?  Okay I know it sounds weird but that is the way it feels.  I keep thinking I have a fever but my temperature is normal and even too low?  Anyone else with low body temperature?  Before this, I had iceblocks for feet, legs and hands and it didn't seem to matter how many heating pads or clothes I put on to warm them?

I feel like this all the time at the moment. I do know exactly how you feel. My neck and chest are bright red right now and feel warm to the touch, yet my digital thermometer says my body temperature is normal. Ho hum! I haven't got a diagnosis yet - I'm off to see a rheumatologist next week.

I get terrible hotflashes a lot of the time.  Last week it was SO bad that I took my temp, just to make sure I didn't have the flu or something.  My temp was 96 degrees.  I'm usually subnormal and I remember reading on this forum others who have subnormal temps.  My hands and feet are usually freezing, at least in the winter time.  When they get this cold I can barely move them.  I get tingly sensations in my hands alot, too. 

So, I guess you're not alone with this problem.

My legs at times feel like ice blocks. At one time when I was having an episode the dogs kept trying to sniff my legs as I was walking. The cold was radiating from them.

What has happened in the last couple of days is sort of half in between, half chilled and at the same time half hot....my temp is usually around 95-96.

Low body temp is sometimes indicative of a thyroid problem but I had that checked more than once so it is not my thyroid.
I wonder if the thyroid remains stable all the time, or if it has up and down swings thus causing temporary symptoms.

Dorri, my doctor checks my thyroid every time he takes bloodwork.  Usually it is normal but one time it was low.  He double checked it a month later and it was back to normal so I guess it can fluctuate.

Yepper doodles, same thing.  Stinging prickley skin, some times little bumps and sometimes not. I also get so cold I sleep with fleece pj's and 3 blankets, plus a down comforted and a space heater.  My poor husband really loves me to go thru that everynight.  But its been going on for years now so i just say Okay just another weird symptom.  I have to say I am so thankful to read that I am not alone in all these symptoms and don't feel so alone.  thanks everyone :-)
