Have you lived in Shamokin all your life???  Do I know you???????  I grew up on Market Street and graduated SAHS in 1982.  My name is Donna.  (There are several other Donnas in this forum so I mostly stick with songbird to avoid confusion).

I have a strict policy of not giving out personal/location information on the net, but this is just TOO WILD.

It is a small world isn't it?? Patsie and I just realized that her grandparents lived in the same town I used to live in back in NJ.  Amazing once you get to know someone how much you might have in common!

Just had to put my 2 cents in... :-)

YEP!!  Graduated from SAHS in 1979!! Wow! That is so funny!! You said you were coming back to the area soon? Hope you're not staying in Shamokin...it is so yucky these days. My brother graduated in 1983. You'd probably know him before me? Huh. Small world!!

Yep, staying with Dad on good ol' Market Street. I know it is a dank, depressing place to be these days. It's a shame. My sister and I comment all the time about how much we hate that town! (No offense :-) ) My sister graduated in 1978. I might know you if you were in the marching band. (I played clarinet.) OH! HA! What a hoot! Shamokinites just pop up when you least expect it! When I first moved here to California (Sacramento area) a woman at the church where I worked was from Shamokin and went to school with my dad! Blew my mind.

hahaha! Yes, graduated with Eddie. Having a reunion of Facebook and some classmates are talking about going to see him perform. Market Street, huh? hahaha... It is depressing. We have a farm in Leck Kill that we're going to move to once our kids are off to college or on their own. I can't wait! I tried not to give up on the town, but it's really hard. It's getting worse all the time. I agree...sure is funny where you meet people! Small, small world.
