Waking with a slamming back and rain...

 Good morning , ok a Q , how many wake up with a numb hand and slamming back pain ?

 

Nothing like waking up to slamming back pain and it's been pouring out !

 So, yesterday i had to rest a lot cause i over did it the day before cleaning. I wanted to

do something today but the rain changed that,and only had 4 hours sleep. I hate the weather controlling the fibro. It gets too cold, your in pain, it rains it hurts, barametric pressure goes off wacky , theres goes your in pain..

  So apparently Florida will be wet and hot and sticky, therefore my back, rt hand and arm  is Not happy today. any ideas for me to do something today ? < getting tired of resting in bed , docs orders .> so what take an extra pill and accomplish something ?? REally don't want to drive in this rain today..Maybe write in my fibro journel ? Wishing you a happy wonderfull beautifull day . May it be peacefull and pain free . turn (at least a little )

HIya Kit-Kat!

Well.. I have lots of back pain and every morning is a new and interesting adventure in the world of pain.  I've had back problems for EVER.  But lately its most definately worse than ever.  I have a lot of numbness in my hands too.. but not so much in the morning.. very stiff but not really numb.. that comes as the day wears on.

Just wanted to say.. I don't know what advice to give other than and nice warm shower.. but you're getting that naturally from your weahter. LOL.  Hey at least its warm!!  Its kinda chilly here in Indiana and we're getting rain too.  If its really warm I'm sure a heating pad or bed buddy doesn't sound really appealing but it would probably help.

Hi Kit-Kat.  Boy do I ever hear you.  I have pain every morning but today is horrible.  I went to bed around 9:00 last night and woke up with terrible neck and back pains and the usual headache.  My hands are almost always numb when I'm in bed.  I got up twice in the middle of the night to soak in a tub of very warm water and I have a trick I do with a tennis ball where I lay on it and move to kind of give myself a massage.  I put it under my neck mostly.  Took as much med as safe then tried to sleep.  Dog woke me up before 7:00 so I'm taking her to the dog park to wear her out then I'm coming home to lay on a heating pad.  I'm in a climate without much rain but today we have a front coming in with high winds and this makes me feel as bad as the rain did when I lived in the midwest.  Weather is really a big factor for us isnt it.  I think I would not go out in the rain.  Try laying on a heating pad and hope the rain will pass. smilewinkgrin   Have a good book to read?

 " born again virgin " .LOL i do hug my pillow often tho..i will also do the heating pad today tho , often,it's a bad bad bad day..frikin weather .back has been so bad since Jan,now.

 awwwww Mornin puppylover ,, Im so sorry you had a rough night also. Hey that tennis ball thing , i'm glad it works on you , theres No way i can do ther these days, not like years ago when it helped, so i know what you mean there ! And yes i usually wake up w/ pain its just soo frikin bad today,geezz baseball bat slamming on me thing. and re: weather ,, I still don't understand the barametric pressure thing after all these years..lol maybe One day ill get it into my head..maybe ?? confused   just call me lost on that area..Hope you enjoy the park and deff , wear out that dog so you can have a restfull day. tc huggzzzz ,, Kat smurf

YES !

Here in Iowa - ( I'm a transplant from Phx, Az) the weather has been rainy, snowy - cold - then we rain - then we flood, then we sauna - no wonder I have been messed up ever since I've lived here.

My right hand is numb today - up to my elbow where it really starts to scream - I mopped cement floors yesterday - I clean for a living.

Beginning to see that may not be too realistic but neither is going back to healthcare running on my feet for 12 hours at a time.

*sigh*

now I see why my Dr said something about disability - I was so shocked - I thought we'd just get a magic pill - off and running - some good shoes and inserts - no problem kids - let's go play some B - ball !

I hope you have some relief today and just know your post made someone else feel not so alone and freakshowish !

Maybe there are openings for meteorologists ? How much school is that ?

KitKat, Patti was referring to a Bed Buddy...they sell these at Walgreen's and other places...not a man!   smhair   You heat them in the microwave and they give off moist heat.  You can make your own by taking a tube sock, filling it 2/3's full of raw rice and tying a knot at the end.

 So , either i forgot about That kind of bed buddy or I really didn't know that .

 But , I am sooooo glad to hear i gave you a good laugh !! turn   yeah   stupid Q now,

 on making my own, do Not wet the rice or i'll be making some really tasty side dish for my dinner huh ?? ****oo omggg ss it Has to be the meds making me goofy now !!

Kat, you do NOT wet the rice.  There is moisture already in the rice and when  you heat it, it gives off moisture.  Just put raw rice in the sock, knot the end, and microwave it.  I have a rice pillow that my massage therapist made for me and it's wonderful, too.  Enjoy!

Ah Kat, you are a treat!!!! (((((hugs)))))) When I am in a flare & sick & unable to do anything I watch movies & read books & do crossword puzzles & crochet all things I save up for a flare. When I am really sick or in lots of pain, the only thing I even half way enjoy is watching movies. Here in Montana the weather is still changing too. Rain, snow & blue sky have been changing places on a very rapid schedule so I haven't been feeling to well either. How you do so much work is beyond me, I used to work like that, really I did. I also, had a cleaning business years ago. I had my ladies (my regulars), I painted apartments at an apartment complex, I cleaned new construction for a contractor & I cleaned new mobile homes at a mobile home dealership. I worked from 6 in the morning to 9 at night. Hard work, I know so I have to give you a "high five". Maybe you can try just going down to one job, is that financially doable? In this economy it is hard, I know. I haven't been able to work for 4 years. Wow, 4 years, hard to believe. You take care of yourself OK? Hugs, Denise

  As for the weather , we have our own internal methods of knowing when it's going to rain

wow jewelrylady - we have alot in common - that's me - cleaning biz, real estate jobs - mostly houses with no kids and no pets so that is good - it's good money and I like the freedom

I also see alot of spirtual people here - I like that !

  I think i got u lost somewhere, I do Not work , actually i haven't in many many years..The

 cleaning i keep talking about is where i am staying at. I am in a mobile home and just nerver never soom to get caught up. uggg I am usually in bed w/ the heating pad , napping ,

 or just going to pogo, facebook after a day of laundry,cleaning whatever. oh yes the back

pain is usuallly so bad i don't remember what i read in chapter 3 , then chit gotta start over again,

 Maybe part of our fibro could be from the tpye of work we used to do years ago ? hmmmm..

 well i have been resting most of the day, not doing anything special except for getting cigs smilewinkgrin
