Not to go all political on ya'll again; but this is criminal. The Cymbalta, and one other newer drug, that costs the world, if you google them are essentially effexor which has been on the market ten years; so doesn't reap the income. Canadian's spend 30 billion on meds; we have 1/10 the population as American's. Do the math. Not being prescribed the least expensive meds puts the weight of the mess made on Wall Street right on the backs of the poor, more illness, the sick, and the elderly. Now, topamax; if it is effective for nerve pain, as well as is prescribed as a mood stabilizer, as well, as a weight loss drug; wow; I'm going right straight out to get me some. Also; migraines. I feel like I'm in Problem Solving 301. Unfortunately, like lost in philly, I had a good effect from my old friend of twenty some years, after a holliday, Zoloft, worked well for me untill mid week last week when I crashed, bigtime. Bang, boom. Frankly; I too may be immune to I's, or worse, as one previous doc said, SSRI's can be counter-indicated in Bipolar 2 and may cause rapid cycling. That's where I was the past three weeks. I could wait ten minutes and I'd be crying, then laughing. What is this doing on the Fibro forum, beats me, oh yeah, topamax. I see doc Wednesday. I also have three needy people hanging off me, two dogs (who carry their own weight), and three pure white cats I didn't have the nerve to euthenize. There are far too many creatures ahead of me on my priority list, to be sure.
