Good Morning Everyone...I'm the Newbie Lurker..LOL
I have read the rules, so if I make a nono please forgive
me the fibro-fog is haunting me at the moment....I also
love this group ..so kind and helpful...like Little, my Dr has finally
used the word FIBRO, last October...Soooooooo I'm NEW here
and also NEW to this condition.

Hats off to all of you who have built this group and to those who
post to keep it active..the infomation here is fantastic....I'm so lucky
to have found you guys.

I'm 60 years young yeah a wife married to the same man
for 41 years shocked HaHa..I have a very supportive hubby (Yes! I'm
lucky) I have 3 adult children and 5 grands ..my Son and his 3
children live with us.. shakehead (Yikes, God help me, thank you
Lord, I have NOT lost my mind yet! and I refuse to).
I live in Louisiana, the Capt. (Hubby) is a Charter Captain
who takes peeps pleasure fishing..Yes we eat a lot of fish cool

Ok...back to reading post....love and hugs to All

I am so happy that you have joined the forum. I am thinking that you have read a lot on here, but want to tell you about the thread titled fibro101. There is a ton of information on there. I think that you will enjoy reading it. I believe that reading makes us stronger and more knoweldgeable.

Hi, Pod, and welcome!  Oh, I just love to fish.  I have never been deep sea fishing but I am going to try it one day.  Anyway, I'm so glad you found us and joined in!  We do learn a lot here, help one another, and also have a good time and make great friends.  So I know you will love it here too.

 

I see that Karen directed you to the Fibro 101 thread...the second thread on the forum.  There are all sorts of "goodies" in that and you will learn a heap!  The more you know, the better able you are to make good decisions to help you control the pain and live a full and enjoyable life.  I know I have had a great time in my life so far.  I'm 62 and plan on living to 120!  smhair    I'm a big dreamer!  LOL

 

You have come to a great place.  We have wonderful members that love to help one another and, as a bonus, we really do care about each other, too.  So, read Fibro 101, back posts, and ask questions.  We are here to help you.  Hope to hear more from you soon.

Hi Pod,

I relatively new here, too. the group is fabulous. Very caring and funny,

My son lives with us with his 6 year old daughter. Yikes! is right. (and you have 3!) How old are your grandchildren? I have just the one, but love her more than I thought could be possible. I love having her around. It's one of those blessings in life you never plan on.

Hi Pod and Welcome!

It has been a busy site lately and my week turned out to be busy, but wanted to get a warm welcome in to you. Louisiana, I have never been there but would love to go someday. I take it you are right on the coast? Oh and fish, I love fish! Sounds like you have a wonderful family and supportive husband, that's great. And one son that lives with you- never a dull moment! My oldest niece, husband and two children moved in with my sister and BIL as they lost their home due to the economy. It is hectic, but is working out.

I got fibro about a year ago- so I am not too much further ahead of you. Having this group for support has made such a difference in how I feel. I have a supportive family and group of friends, but it is hard for them to understand exactly what you are going through and boy does everyone here know what you are going through!

Thank you all for the warm welcome... sorry I have not been here the last couple of days, My Mom was in the hospital shakehead I brought her home yesterday! :-)

Jill...yes we are 30 min from the Gulf...and NO there is never a dull moment..lol...its the noise level that is difficult for me..ugh
