Yes, that is indeed the question of the day. I definitely over did it yesterday, and now I'm paying for it. My muscles in my neck, back and upper legs got so tense last night at work that I now have bruises all over from trying to get them to loosen up. When I got home last night I stayed in a hot shower for over a half an hour, then put heat patches all over and went to bed. I woke up today, with muscles still tense, and used a handheld massager as best as I could. Then I did a bunch of stretching, and have been walking around, hoping that they'll finally start to loosen up. I'm having very little luck.
I really should go to work, because I need the money. Also, my rheumotologist is taking her time filling out the paperwork so that missing work doesn't count against my attendance record. I took it to the office on Monday and she still hasn't done it. So, if I call into work it will now be the third day I've missed due to fibromyalgia with no note from the doctor still... which means I could potentially lose my job. But, if I go to work, I know that I'll just keep irritating my muscles by over-using them and they'll feel even worse tomorrow. So, what do I do? I have forty minutes to make a decision. Do I choose my health, or my only source of income? I have no idea.
