Hello to all!! I have lurked around this forum for some time now. Haven't posted because all my time was spent planning my wedding up until last month. Now, with no more planning, I am ready to join!!
I have had fibro for several years. My first symptoms started around 15, and really progressed around 18. I am 24 now. I also have big time IBS, and GAD (General Anxiety). I am a major "Type A" girl!! For all you other A's out there you know how much Fibro meshes with us!! I was a gymnast from the time I was 2 to 19 so being active was always the center of my life. Changing that way of life is a big adjustment, but I have a wonfulful familly that has a lways been supportive for me.
Oddly enough, I was diagnosed by my GYN. She has had Fibro for many years, and is the most supportive doctor I have ever met. Because of her Fibro she takes a very serious approach to treating me. I am so thankful I found her.
I am a newly wed, and have the most wonderful and supportive husband possible. He has Major Depressive disorder so we kind of support each other. It sure feels good to be loved for who you are, sickness and all. I work as a chef for a law firm, and my husband is a lawyer (not at my firm) Despite all our struggles, we live a very fulfilling and happy life.
Well, that's me in a nutshell! Any questions!! And I already know you are all a great bunch to talk to!
